Mezőker Ltd. was established in 1991 for the production of dried vegetable. Its founders are private persons with over 25 years of experience in this special field of food industry.

Besides its main product, dried onion, our company also produces dried roots, tuber and leafy vegetables and has adapted the necessary technological background for drying all the vegetables cultivated and used in the dying industry of Hungary. We cultivate some of the primary materials in our own rented land.

In 1998 our company established Makói Hagyma Kft. (Makó Onion Ltd.) and purchased one of Europe's largest onion processing bases jointly with onion producers. This plant has the capacity to store, package, freshly distribute or dry 20,000 tons of raw onion per year.

Since meeting the requirements of our changing time is an essential part of our company's policy, besides our own production, the amount of our imported products has also been increasing in the past ten years, which by today reaches approximately 40% of our total turnover. This enables our company to supply our partners with our own dried vegetable as well as dried vegetable produced in any part of the world and subsequently converted and tested in our plant that meet all the Hungarian food industry regulations. Therefore, we offer excellent quality products to any segment of the industry.

In order to further process and test the quality of dried products our company has established a processing plant equipped with specially designed high technology. ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP system as well as our own microbiological laboratory guarantee the continuous maintenance of excellent quality.
Our partners include several of Europe's largest food industry companies like Unilever and Nestlé, while our company offers a wide variety of solutions for all our partners regarding our primary materials.

In 2002 Mezőker expanded its range of activities by launching Vitagora, an outstanding quality product family unique in Europe on the Hungarian market, which has been rewarded with various acknowledgements and topping consumption.
Our fresh vegetable and salad mixes ready for consumption that, owing to their treatment with specially designed modified air have a 14-day shelf life are available in all of Hungary's hypermarkets.
Our products also include the excellent quality Vitafarm fresh Makó onion nicely packaged in paper containers or sacks.
